Camelback motor show HISTORY
Like most car shows, Camelback Motor Show was conceived through an intense passion for classic and vintage cars—collector cars.
Several objectives were considered during the development of this show, and the goal is to achieve each of the following. First, the community needs to feel very welcome, not just car enthusiasts. Second, we need to involve the younger generations to appreciate the amazing historical impact the automobile has had on our global culture. This is why we are having all the kids who attend our show be the judges for our two categories of "Best of Show." Thirdly, our goal is to acknowledge and celebrate important milestones in automotive history, such as the 100th anniversary of Citroen and others that will follow in the years to come. Finally, we need to use these beautiful and historic works of art to support great causes such as our charity, Hope Women's Center of Arizona.
While this is the first show, we hope to have many more in the years to come, and hope you will go along for the ride.
Sadly, some squeaky wheeled politicians are working hard to ban all classic and vintage cars from our roads, but we will certainly work hard along with other respectable organizations to make sure that day never comes.
ABOUT THE FOUNDER
The founder of Camelback Motor Show (CMS), is a passionate life-long car enthusiast, and hopes to continue to promote all aspects of these historic pieces of rolling art throughout the valley. He began his personal collection in 2009 when he and his wife acquired a 1965 Rolls-Royce Phantom V, with coachwork by H.J. Mulliner Park Ward.
Since then several other cars have come to join the Phantom in the garage. Not long after the Phantom was acquired, a 1956 Austin FX3-D was purchased to undergo a full restoration. Next a 1981 Mercedes-Benz 240D along with another Mercedes, a 1975 450SL were brought into the fold.
It is our hope that each of you who either participates by showing a car or simply comes as a spectator, takes time to engage in every aspect of this show.
We would like to once again thank Camelback Bible Church, the volunteers and our sponsors for their generosity in supporting this show. In addition we thank each you for supporting Hope Women's Center in the great work they do throughout Arizona, each and every day.
